One person was arrested for allegedly beating the woman and throwing her in the bush

Parbat: District Police Office Kaski has arrested a man on the charge of beating and injuring a woman and absconding.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Shravan Kumar B.K., Information Officer of District Police Office Kaski, Sant Bahadur Magar, 25-year-old Dipen Gurung, resident of Dhading Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality-10 Dunge, was arrested.

Last May 5th at around 10 o’clock in the night, a woman was found seriously injured in a bush located in Kaski Pokhara Metropolitan City-18 Gufa Danda and was immediately rescued and sent to the hospital for treatment. While investigating the incident, it was revealed that the person, who said his name was Deepen Gurung, used an iron hammer and a sharp weapon knife to hit different parts of the head, the right eye, and left him in a dying condition and threw him in the bush.

After it was revealed that Gurung had robbed the woman of Rs 4,000 in cash and a mobile set, the police started searching for her. At the same time, a police team deployed from Ward Police Office Baidam in collaboration with Provincial Police Office Pokhara and District Police Office Kaski arrested Gurung from his house.
Deputy Superintendent of Police B.K. has extended the deadline of seven days in the case of assault or mutilation by the Kaski District Court and is conducting further investigation.
